about

"The law doesn't help us. It doesn't protect us. People from our community are threatened all the time. Because we don't let them take this wood, they threaten to kill us. In the community we welcome death as a price for defending nature, our lives and our children's futures. They should kill us then."- Edwin Chote Valero (R.I.P.)

lyrics

Watch them
Watch them come from the valley
And up the hills
Where we lay
Resting
In peaceful harmony

Soon too close
Too close to see
Our futures unfolding
Soon too close
Too close to see

We've watched for years
Our neighbors massacred
Stripped and carted away
Nothing remains but
The barren ground
The ground where they once lay
Where they once lay

And
As they draw near
Ponder why
Why we who
Gave so much
Must no longer be
And when we're gone
Remember we are the
Roots to your existence

There is
There is nothing left for us
But when we're gone
*We're gone*
Remember we are the roots
The roots

about

Achilles Boston, Massachusetts

Started in Feb. 2013 by Spencer Murdock (vocals), Adrian Eberth (guitars) and Patrick Murphy (drums), Achilles’ members solidified in the summer of 2014 with Matt Duff (bass) and Rich Orsini (rhythm guitar).

The group dissolved not long after releasing ‘Dirge for the Earth’ due to personal reasons, severe egomania, and musical differences.
Thank you for the support, it meant the world to us! \m/
